Asphalt shingle rejuvenation
Asphalt Shingle Roof Rejuvenation in Seminole
A plant-oil treatment that puts the flexibility back into dried-out asphalt shingles so they shed water and hold their granules — commonly another five to seven years from a roof that is still sound.
What the treatment does
Asphalt shingles dry out as the Florida sun bakes the oils out of the binder. Once they are dry, they stiffen, crack at the edges and start losing the granules that protect them from UV. This treatment is a soy-based oil that soaks into the shingle mat and restores some of those lost oils, so the shingle flexes instead of cracking and keeps hold of its granules. It is a maintenance treatment for a sound roof — not a repair for one that is already failing.
Which roofs it suits
Rejuvenation works on asphalt shingle roofs that are aging but intact. The roof look tells us for certain.
A good fit
- Asphalt shingles roughly 8 to 20 years old
- No active leaks and sound decking underneath
- Shingles lying flat, with fading and granule loss but no widespread cracks
Not a candidate
- Active leaks or soft, water-damaged decking
- Large areas of missing, curled or cracked shingles
- Tile, metal or flat roofs, which this treatment is not for
How it works
How the job runs
Roof look
We check flexibility, granule loss, age and any damage, and tell you plainly whether treatment is worth doing.
Small fixes first
Any loose shingles, exposed nails or vent boots are flagged so the spray goes onto a sound surface.
Application
On a dry day the soy-based product is applied evenly across the shingles — usually a few hours.
Follow-up
You get a clear account of the work and a sense of when a re-treatment makes sense.
