Asphalt Shingle Roof Rejuvenation
A soy-based spray that soaks into aging asphalt shingles, restoring flexibility and helping them hold their granules — a few hours of work, no tear-off.
Keep the roof you have
A soy-based spray sinks into brittle asphalt shingles and brings back the flex and the granule grip they have lost to the sun — a few hours of work, no tear-off, at a fraction of a new roof.
On a sound asphalt roof, one application restores flexibility and granule hold — commonly another five to seven years of service before replacement comes back into the conversation.
We look at the shingles before we quote anything. If treatment would not help your roof, we tell you so instead of spraying it anyway.
You hear what it costs — explained on the call or at the roof look — before anyone opens a drum of product.
One service, done properly: restoring aging asphalt shingles so they keep doing their job. Here is what that covers.
A soy-based spray that soaks into aging asphalt shingles, restoring flexibility and helping them hold their granules — a few hours of work, no tear-off.
Asphalt shingles age because the sun and Gulf heat bake the oils out of the asphalt binder. Dried out, the shingle goes stiff, cracks at the edges and sheds the granules that shield it from UV. The rejuvenation treatment is a plant-oil spray — usually soybean-based — that soaks into the mat and puts some of those oils back, so the shingle bends instead of snapping and holds onto its granules longer. It does not rebuild a failed roof; it slows the drying-out on one that is still sound.
Re-oiled shingles flex in the heat instead of cracking across the tab.
Fewer granules wash into the gutters, so the asphalt stays shaded from UV.
Nothing is stripped, hauled or dumped — the existing roof stays in place.
Rejuvenation is for roofs that are aging but still whole. A quick look tells us which side of the line yours is on.
If your roof is too far gone, you will hear it plainly. A treatment that cannot help is not worth your money or our name on it.
No surprise line items. You get the number and what it covers before any work is scheduled, let alone started.
Gutters, downspouts, plantings and anything parked nearby are protected while we work, and the site is left clean.
We are specific about what rejuvenation fixes — flexibility and granule hold — and what it does not, like a leak or a cracked shingle.
How it works
We check shingle flexibility, granule loss, age and any damage, and decide whether treatment is the right call.
If a few nails, boots or loose shingles need attention before treatment, we flag them so the spray goes onto a sound surface.
On a dry day the soy-based product is applied evenly across the shingles — usually a few hours, start to finish.
You get a clear picture of what was done and when to think about a re-treatment down the line.
That is exactly what the roof look answers. Call and we will take a proper look before anyone talks about money.
Based in Seminole and treating asphalt shingle roofs across the mid-Pinellas towns — from Largo and Pinellas Park out to the beach communities.
Rejuvenation is a fraction of a replacement — the industry commonly cites somewhere around 15 to 30 percent — because there is no tear-off, no disposal and no new material. We give you the specific number for your roof before any work starts.
It needs to be asphalt shingle, roughly 8 to 20 years old, with no active leaks and shingles that are still largely intact. The roof look settles it — and if it is not a candidate, we will say so.
The application runs a few hours on a dry day, and you do not have to be on site while we work — we go over the whole plan with you ahead of time.
Yes — restoring the oils helps the shingles hold the granules they still have, which slows further loss. It cannot put back granules that are already gone.
The product needs a window of dry weather to soak in and set, so we schedule around the forecast. We will tell you what it needs on the day.
It is a plant-oil based product, and we protect gutters, landscaping and surfaces while we work. We are happy to talk through anything specific in your yard before we start.
Rejuvenation is applied on a multi-year cycle rather than once and done. We will give you a sense of the right interval for your roof when we follow up.
One call starts it: we look at the shingles, tell you honestly whether rejuvenation helps, and quote it before any work.
